Being the strongest, outermost layer of the hide to be used, and keeping the grain in its entirety, rather than being sanded away to look more ‘uniform’, full-grain leather lasts much longer. As it ages, it develops a patina, which is the change in color over time. This change occurs faster on untreated pieces and is considered to be a highly desirable characteristic of leather.

On the smooth, unaltered surface, you can even see the pores and small hair follicles (if you use a magnifying glass), which indicates that the leather is of high quality. Other characteristics to take note of are fat wrinkles or growth lines, natural variations in the grain texture, shading, and small scars.

Every hide is unique as it comes from a different animal with different markings and blemishes so when looking at or working with full-grain leather you’ll soon realize that no two hides are exactly the same.

It’s my second Minooy bag!

I love this bag so much, I’m on my second one. I love that I don’t need to carry a wallet, and the compartment for my glasses. My only complaint is not enough spring/summer colors. I would have bought more. Also a bit disappointed that it doesn’t offer different strap choices, so I bought a few from Amazon. You will see this in the picture. However, it is my favorite size for a crossbody bag and will definitely buy this style again.

Looks like the photos and works well

I am very impressed. It looks exactly like the photos and smells really great, has that classic leather smell. All the pockets are so functional, I love the built-in wallet, the built-in pen holders, the built-in sunglass holders, it was so well thought out! I actually bought this bag because I wanted all of the organization that was built into it. I likely will buy this bag again in a different color or at least buy it again when this one gets old. I'm all about organization these days.

Well Made and Great Design!

This bag is constructed very nicely and looks finished inside and out. The overall design is thoughtfully laid out for security and ease of use. I’m taking it on an upcoming trip and have been using it to see what I thought—I love it! I was skeptical about ordering because I had not heard of Minooy before and saw some bags on Amazon that looked nearly the same but the descriptions on Amazon indicated those were not genuine leather. I decided to give Minooy a try and I’m glad I did! The Minooy bag is definitely leather and built to last. It is a quality item that I’ll enjoy for many years. I see myself getting other colors in this same bag.

Perfect crossbody

The quality of this purse is amazing, from the zippers and buckles to the leather. I love not needing a separate wallet. Plenty of slots for all my cards, a pocket for cash and zippered pocket for change. It’s small and easy to carry but holds so much. If I had to say anything, I’m not thrilled with the color, but that’s on me. I chose it. Over all 5 out of 5!
